Interactive Theatre for Social Change Training

School counselors, youth workers, educators, and others are invited to participate in “Theatre for Social Change,” a training, April 22 in Lafayette, Indiana. Led by Katherine Burke, Director of InterPlay - Interactive Theatre for Dialogue, participants will learn how to address challenging issues like diversity, substance use, bullying, and sexual assault, using theatre-based activities and interactive improv performance.

Using theatre engages people in active learning, enhancing creativity and increasing retention. By involving people in interactive theatre activities, counselors, educators, and facilitators can engage people in an active, fun, hands-on way. No theatre experience is required for this training.
The training will take place April 22, 2005, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Tippecanoe Arts Federation, 638 North Street, in Lafayette. Registration is $60, or $100 for two people. More information and online registration can be found at www.interplaytheatre.com.
