Speakers On Diversity |
Bringing speakers into your workplace to lecture on diversity issues and
topics is one way to approach diversity training. Speakers discuss various
goals and
strategies based on their own education, background and expertise. Keynote
speakers may address topics that include building leadership through inclusion,
developing inclusion strategies that will increase productivity, and enhancing
communication skills through the understanding of equal employment opportunities
and affirmative action.
While all of these topic examples are fascinating and informational, your workforce may not benefit much from simply listening to diversity speeches. Using guest lecturers for diversity training is the least effective approach you can take. Some of your employees may not absorb information well just by listening. Without interactive participation, employees may have trouble grasping important meanings and points. InterPlay has experienced great success with our diversity training methods. We develop interactive diversity workshops that will engage and inspire your employees. Unlike speech-making methods, our training workshops require full participation. This enhances the ability to look at diversity issues from different viewpoints, think about solutions and share ideas and concepts. It can be difficult to see real problems until they are acted out with emotion, spontaneity and imagination. Our dialogue exercises encourage workshop participants to communicate openly about real diversity issues and concerns. Once the topics are brought out into the open and trusting relationships are developed, your employees will be able to discover subtle issues they may have not been aware of. If you would like to learn more about our diversity training workshops, you can contact us by sending and email to katherine.burke@gte.net or by calling our offices at (765) 414-2050. |
