Diversity Training Exercises |
|
Diversity workshops with interactive training exercises provide an effective
method for breaking down boundaries and opening up a world of communication.
InterPlay is a unique company that custom-designs these types of training workshops.
The full name of the company is InterPlay: Interactive Theatre for Dialogue.
Led by its founder and director, Katherine Burke, InterPlay creates workshops
that utilize theatre techniques and exercises to help groups deal with real
issues, such as diversity.
The diversity training exercises are successful because they invite open interaction in the group they are designed for. In almost any environment, an open platform of communication is beneficial to everyone. In business, it can stimulate creativity and innovation, increase productivity and promote teamwork. In an educational environment, open communication can break down social stigmas, help to build strong relationships and encourage self identity and self confidence. The diversity exercises from InterPlay provide a fun training method, but they also do much more. They provide a safe environment for participants to freely express and explore their feelings and viewpoints concerning the diversity issues they face. The exercises lead to full-on dialogue between the participants. There is a wide range of diversity training exercises that can be used in these workshops. Some examples include self-identity games, observation games, relationship games and power games. Each workshop is designed specifically for your needs.
