InterPlay uses theatre in our diversity training programs to help participants
delve into and embrace their unique differences and then to communicate openly
about them. Applying theatre games and activities to diversity training helps
open up the imagination of your workforce. A free-flow of creativity inspires
a further exploration of the imagination.
Encouraging true personalities and emotions to come to the surface helps to create more personable relationships. Setting objectives and making plans to achieve them teaches problem solving skills and promotes teamwork. Embracing diversity with the aid of theatre games can also help to build self-confidence. How do our workshops work? Well, we design each of the workshops to suit the specific needs of your company or school. As an example, many of our workshops start with fun theatre games that help to warm up the imagination and set a tone of free exploration. Next, workshop participants take part in engaging activities that lead to meaningful conversations about various important issues. These conversations help to build trust and allow participants to better get to know each other, forging stronger relationships. A scene is then performed by the workshop facilitators that addresses the important issues. After a brief discussion, the workshop attendees act out the same scene again, but they find the solutions to the problems on their own.
